The 2025 WNBA All-Star Weekend takes place on July 18 and 19 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, marking the first time the Indiana Fever host the league’s mid-season showcase. The two-day event opens Friday night with the Skills Challenge and the 3-Point Contest, bringing together some of the biggest names in the league, including Caitlin Clark, Sabrina Ionescu, Allisha Gray, Sonia Citron, and Kelsey Plum.

Saturday’s main event, the All-Star Game, features a matchup between Team WNBA and Team USA, offering fans a rare chance to see the league’s top performers compete in a single game. Indiana’s selection as host city follows a season of record attendance and sold-out crowds in 2024, driven in part by Clark’s impact as a rookie. This year’s All-Star Weekend reflects the WNBA’s sharp rise in visibility, with ticket demand surging, broadcast coverage expanding, and fan interest reaching new levels.

This article spotlights the best sneaker releases for WNBA All-Star Weekend 2025. Launching on July 18, the day before the All-Star Game, three standout models lead this year’s lineup: the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Total Orange,” the Nike Sabrina 3 “All-Star,” and the Nike A’One “All-Star” by A’ja Wilson. Each release connects directly to the players shaping the weekend, whether through legacy, on-court presence, or signature design.

Nike Kobe 6 Total Orange aka WNBA

Nike is releasing a new version of the Kobe 6 Protro under the title “Total Orange,” also referred to by fans as the “WNBA” colorway. This model revives the Kobe 6 silhouette with an updated color palette that directly references the league’s signature orange tone. Kobe 6 Total Orange arrives as a limited drop on July 18 through, priced at $190 for adults and $120 for big kids.

Design-wise, the sneaker features a textured snakeskin upper in Total Orange with accents of Cosmic Clay and a metallic silver Swoosh. The translucent outsole adds a finishing layer that keeps the shoe visually aggressive and sharp. Inside the shoe, Nike uses Cushlon foam in the midsole for enhanced comfort and includes Zoom Turbo units underfoot for increased responsiveness and multidirectional movement. This combination of cushioning and traction was tailored originally for Kobe’s agile, low-to-the-ground style of play, one that translates well to fast, lateral games like those in the WNBA.

What sets this release apart is its clear alignment with Bryant’s legacy in supporting women’s basketball. Known for mentoring and publicly backing WNBA athletes, Bryant’s visibility in the space helped shift public perception of the league. The “Total Orange” colorway is widely seen as a tribute to that role.

Nike Sabrina 3 All-Star

Sabrina Ionescu’s third signature shoe, the Nike Sabrina 3, launches in its All-Star colorway just in time for her return to the 3-Point Contest during the weekend’s festivities. Set to release on July 18, the shoe retails for $135 in adult sizes, with youth versions also available.

Visually, the All-Star edition of the Sabrina 3 features a soft yellow mesh upper with tonal accents and a black suede Swoosh. The design keeps things minimal while still bold enough for an All-Star stage. Flywire cables integrated into the lacing structure provide stability, while the dual-density midsole pairs full-length Cushlon foam with a Zoom Air unit in the forefoot. The outsole borrows traction cues from Kobe Bryant’s signature line, giving the shoe a grippy and agile base ideal for sharp stop-and-go plays.

Inside, the insole reads “Anyone, Anywhere,” a phrase that ties directly to Ionescu’s brand as a player unafraid to compete at the highest level. She previously made headlines in 2023 by scoring a record-breaking 37 points during the 3-Point Contest, and her participation in this year’s event makes this sneaker drop especially relevant.

Nike A’One All-Star

A’ja Wilson’s signature shoe, the Nike A’One, enters the All-Star spotlight with a vivid new colorway built around gold, crimson, and black. The sneaker is priced at $120 for adults and $90 for kids and releases July 18 through SNKRS and select Nike Basketball retailers. This is the second major drop for the Nike A’One since the line debuted in May, where it quickly sold out in multiple sizes.

The All-Star colorway carries a bold gradient across the mesh and synthetic upper, transitioning from metallic gold at the toe to deep crimson around the collar. The midsole is sculpted for side-to-side movement and reinforced with Zoom Air cushioning under the heel. Wilson’s custom logo appears on the tongue, while the heel tab carries her signature and a motivational quote: “We don’t got time for that,” a nod to her leadership mindset. The design mirrors Wilson’s presence on the court, forceful, sharp, and unshakable.

SNEAKERS

Each sneaker releasing for WNBA All-Star Weekend 2025 connects directly to the players shaping the game. The Kobe 6 Protro “Total Orange” acknowledges the legacy of Kobe Bryant, whose influence remains visible through players like Caitlin Clark, known for wearing Kobe models throughout her college and pro career. The Sabrina 3 “All-Star” arrives just in time for Ionescu’s return to the 3-Point Contest, while the A’One “All-Star” reinforces A’ja Wilson’s position as one of the league’s most dominant athletes with a signature shoe that reflects her game.
