END. continues its 20th-anniversary program by reconnecting with Y-3, the label born from Yohji Yamamoto’s collaboration with adidas. Their new project introduces the ‘Emerald’ capsule collection, limited to four items, and reflects a long-standing creative alignment built on fashion and performance. This latest chapter shows the continuity between END.’s curatorial direction and Y-3’s focus on engineered minimalism.
Since 2003, Y-3 has carved a unique space in athletic fashion by focusing on stripped-back construction, distinctive silhouettes, and fabric performance. END. first partnered with the label years ago, and the shared output has consistently prioritized precision over excess. This capsule draws its central concept from the emerald gemstone, traditionally associated with 20-year milestones, and uses that symbolism to inform the color treatment and finish of each item.

At the center of the collection stands a revival of the Y-3 A3 Control sneaker, an early 2000s silhouette that defined a specific period in Y-3’s output. The new version uses platinum silver leather and cashmere suede to build depth across the upper. Its sculpted shape sits atop adidas’ A3 cushioning at the heel, reinforcing its performance origins. Perforated three-stripe detailing appears on the sidewall, with a single emerald green Y-3 logo placed on the heel tab. The shoe’s layered construction references adidas innovation from the archive while adapting it through Y-3’s stripped-back language.
The capsule also includes three apparel pieces: a Track Top, Track Pants, and a Short Sleeve Tee. These garments follow Y-3’s approach to proportion and volume, leaning on oversized shapes and clean lines. Presented in black and white, the clothing carries minimal branding, with emerald accents used for embroidered logos and stripe detailing. Each piece mirrors the control and reduction found in the footwear, maintaining a consistent through-line across the collection.

Rather than overstate the collaboration, END. and Y-3 approach this drop with restraint. They draw on familiar tools, archival sneakers, classic sportswear cuts, monochromatic palettes, but allow small gestures like color and texture to shape the final result. The emerald green does not flood the collection but appears with precision, tying each piece back to the anniversary without overwhelming the design.
The END. x Y-3 ‘Emerald’ capsule is available and can be purchased exclusively through endclothing.com and in-store at END. locations in Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, London, and Milan.
