Four years after their first collaboration, Palm Angels and Vilebrequin return with a fresh capsule rooted in print experimentation and references to street culture. Their new swimwear collection offers five shorts designed to reimagine classic beachwear by injecting the vibrancy of spray paint, skate ramps, and street art motifs.
Each piece riffs on traditional summer prints with new surface treatments. Hibiscus florals and palm leaves take center stage, a nod to the iconic Hawaiian pattern, but they arrive altered. In one design, blooms and fronds serve as a base layer, covered in expressive paint splatters. Another version builds a patchwork arrangement, where each panel offers a slightly different perspective on the same pattern. The effect feels spontaneous, like graffiti over carefully planned surfaces.

The collaboration follows Palm Angels’ Spring Summer 2025 collection, which used the palm tree logo as a central motif. For this swimwear update, the brand applies graffiti-inspired techniques directly onto the fabric, featuring spray-painted interpretations of its branding. One pair in particular combines this approach with a mix of orange, red, purple, and yellow, echoing both skate deck graphics and sun-faded wall murals. It delivers a punch of color while maintaining a sense of rawness.
Another model shifts the mood entirely. The camouflage design softens the color palette but continues the paint motif through scattered, abstract splatters. A functional double drawstring completes the look, designed to suit not only poolside lounging but also the movement required on a skateboard.

Across the capsule, Palm Angels brings its typical edge into the fabric design process, using the language of customization to blur the line between utility and visual impact. Vilebrequin balances that energy with craftsmanship built for the demands of saltwater and sun. The result combines leisurewear codes with graphics usually reserved for streetwear.

Each pair delivers a specific mood. Some lean into brightness and chaos, others settle into tactical comfort. The use of spray paint as a recurring motif allows the line to feel cohesive without becoming repetitive. It also links back to graffiti’s visual power, while continuing Palm Angels’ ongoing interest in subcultures.
All five designs are available now through the Vilebrequin website on the Palm Angels x Vilebrequin collection page. The collection speaks directly to those who want their summer essentials to carry more than function. These are shorts built for water, sun, and skate griptape, all under the same design logic.
