Holzweiler staged its Fall Winter 2026 show in Copenhagen, returning to a city that played a formative role in the brand’s early expansion beyond Oslo. Long before establishing a wider international presence, Copenhagen served as a testing ground for the label’s ideas and values. Sixteen years after its first runway appearance and initial collaboration with Moon, Holzweiler rejoined Copenhagen Fashion Week with a collection shaped by reflection and forward focus. Photographer Sohom Das documented the backstage moments, capturing details exclusively for DSCENE Magazine.

Co-founder and Creative Director Maria Skappel Holzweiler framed the show as a reconnection with an essential chapter of the label’s history. Copenhagen represents early exchange, shared values, and a creative community that still informs the brand’s direction. Presenting Fall Winter 2026 in this context allowed Holzweiler to revisit those foundations while moving forward with clarity and intent.

The Fall Winter 2026 collection spans womenswear and menswear and centers on preservation viewed through lived experience. The collection reflects on what remains after shared moments pass, drawing from memory as atmosphere and feeling rather than image. References include the calm after a dinner party, objects left on a table, and the quiet awareness of time spent together. Preservation appears as care, extending ideas introduced in Spring Summer 2026 into acts of storing, protecting, and holding close.

Holzweiler translates these ideas through wrapping, layering, and gentle silhouettes that respond to movement. Fabrics drape and fold without rigid structure, supporting daily wear and repetition. The show took place at Vandflyverhangaren, a former seaplane hangar transformed by architect Dorte Mandrup, aligning the setting with themes of reuse and continuity. Collaborations with Magnor Glassverk, alongside creative direction by Moon, styling by Fran Burns, and casting by Madeline Østlie, framed Fall Winter 2026 as a return grounded in memory and guided by care.
