Tell The Truth is an independent luxury streetwear label that strives to expose the unsaid and celebrates raw individuality. It was founded in Los Angeles by self-taught designer Rainy Womack. The brand has already shown its collections in L.A., New York and during the London Fashion Week. This season, the label decided to show its new collection in Berlin and was part of the official show calendar. What makes this label’s shows so unique are cinematic runway experiences that skillfully blend high fashion with underground culture.
Being significant for the style of this label is its raw energy, cut and sew craftsmanship, paired with an emotional storytelling. For the next season, the label is placing particular emphasis on sustainability and therefore eco-conscious fabrics such as vegan leather are used. Bunker West, a former air raid shelter in the West Berlin district in Wilmersdorf that is now used as a historical site and event venue in Berlin, was chosen as the location. The models walked down a corridor through various rooms of the bunker, which was filled with red fog and electronic beats. It was precisely this vibrant energy that contributed to the show’s very special atmosphere. The energetic electro beats were reminiscent of a wild night out at a club.

The label’s style is characterised by a creative blend of underground culture with a contemporary edge. Therefore, each line aims to make an unfiltered statement. This makes the garments the perfect addition for anyone who stands firm in their truth and challenges the mainstream.
“CULT is more than a collection – it’s a manifesto for those who live by their own truth, outside the lines, beyond the rules,” declared designer and creative director Rainy Womack. “We wanted every look, every model, every beat to feel like an act of defiance.”

With its baggy, layered and unisex silhouettes plus a signature “three layer cake” style approach, outfits that flatter both female and male bodies, are shown. What sticks in the memory here is a range that creatively blurs the boundaries of contemporary streetwear by combining subversive tailoring with avant-garde cuts. This creates a distinctive, highly individual overall picture. This collection is very suitable for Berlin and the unconvential style that the locals here like to wear, as it does not allow itself to be dictated to. At the same time, however, we can recognise a number of glamorous moments that sparkle and shine.
Key looks of this line are the “Midnight Set”, an outfit made of vegan leather that is rich in movement and texture, the “Red Velvet Jacket”, an unisex garment with sharp cuts and tailored fluidity, plus “The Bee’s Knees”, another eye-catching statement piece of this set.

The colour palette of this line is based on black. Furthermore, metallic silver, frost, scarlet, rich gold, cerulean, admiral, flint, tan and peanut, are applied. A few metallic shades break up the edgy overall impression of the looks and add a touch of glamour. The overall picture of the outftis and the mood of this line are energetic and highly personal. The variety and uniqueness of the looks are perfect for strong personalities who go their own way and wear what they like. As a city known for its diversity and variety, this line is very suitable for Berlin. We hope to welcome Tell The Truth back to Berlin next season.
