Gap has unveiled its GapStudio Fall Winter 2025 Collection 03, launching October 2, with a campaign starring Gwyneth Paltrow and her daughter Apple Martin. Photographed by Mario Sorrenti and styled under the direction of Alastair McKimm, the imagery and accompanying short film by LOOK & Julian Klincewicz explore generational style through the lens of a shared wardrobe. The project comes under the creative direction of Zac Posen, EVP and Creative Director of Gap Inc.
Mark Breitbard, President & CEO of Gap brand, framed the campaign as part of the label’s ongoing tradition of shaping culture. “From our iconic ’90s ads to today, we’ve celebrated original talent, both accomplished and emerging, to inspire self-expression. Partnering with Gwyneth and Apple continues that legacy, offering a fresh perspective on design.” The film expands this theme, showing Apple revisiting pieces from her mother’s ’90s wardrobe while forming her own identity, with moments of advice and reflection woven throughout.

Zac Posen positioned the campaign as a dialogue between heritage and reinvention. “Clothing moves through time, borrowed, reinterpreted, and made personal. We wanted to honor Gap’s history of iconic portraiture while creating something new for today,” he said. He cited the influence of ’90s New York, its music, energy, and mix of elegance with edge, as a key reference point for the collection.
The capsule itself consists of 38 pieces drawing on 1960s romanticism and futurism as well as 1990s downtown minimalism. Key designs include seamed denim jackets, bootcut jeans, and dresses with anatomical construction. Satin slip dresses, knit cardigans, crisp poplin shirts, and sheer turtlenecks add versatility, while vegan patent leather separates and denim with a tweed-like needle-punch finish introduce sharper accents. Colorways run from signature deep blues and crisp whites to nuanced neutrals and soft rose.

In conversation with the campaign, Gwyneth Paltrow described her connection to the brand: “Gap has always been part of my family’s life. It’s classic and effortless, and Zac has brought a fresh perspective that makes the brand more wearable than ever.” Apple Martin added, “When I think of Gap, I think of growing up with it. When I was little, I was always dressed in Gap Kids, and I’ve loved clothes since that age.”
Collection highlights include the Seamed Icon Denim Jacket ($148), High Rise Seamed Boot Jeans ($168), Satin Slip Maxi Dress ($128), Poplin Belted Maxi Shirtdress ($178), Vegan Patent Leather Crop Jacket ($228), and Mini Skirt ($118). Each piece channels the balance of modern edge with nostalgia, designed to carry forward season after season.

GapStudio Fall Winter 2025 Collection 03 will be available beginning October 2 in select U.S. and international stores as well as online at gap.com.
