adidas Originals and Brain Dead have announced their latest collaboration for Fall 2025, presenting two new iterations of the Barricade 13. The partnership continues the conversation between performance and subcultural aesthetics, reworking one of the most advanced tennis silhouettes in the Three Stripes’ catalogue. The Barricade series has carried a reputation for its technical precision, and Brain Dead brings its own unconventional design language to this chapter.
The Barricade 13 forms the canvas for Brain Dead’s intervention. The sneaker retains its structural framework, including the torsion system that stabilizes movement, the Adiwear outsole built for resilience, and the engineered fit that supports athletes under pressure. Into this foundation, Brain Dead injects its disruptive visual codes, offering a new interpretation of tennis performance gear with the brand’s distinct off-kilter sensibility.

Two designs anchor the collaboration, each with unique character. One version features purple hairy suede, giving the sneaker a textured, tactile surface that contrasts against the metallic silver Three Stripes. The second pair pushes toward a futuristic expression, built in reflective silver mesh that emphasizes light and movement. Both pairs introduce translucent outsoles with speckled underlays, reinforcing the sense of experimentation, while co-branded sockliners and custom tongue labels mark the collaboration.
The project situates itself between lifestyle and sport, reflecting how contemporary footwear increasingly occupies both spaces. Brain Dead’s design language pulls the Barricade 13 out of its strictly competitive context and into an expanded cultural frame. The shoes maintain technical credibility yet invite a wider audience that identifies with Brain Dead’s position within streetwear and subcultural references.

The adidas Barricade 13 Brain Dead sneakers arrive in limited quantities on October 9. Distribution includes CONFIRMED, select adidas stores, select retailers, and Brain Dead’s own platform, wearebraindead.com.
