Loro Piana reaffirms its close relationship with New York City through a special installation at Bergdorf Goodman running from October 17 to November 3, 2025. The presentation features window displays, a facade animation, and exclusive products. Unveiled on October 17, the installation spans both men’s and women’s stores, with the women’s location distinguished by a facade illumination and an in-store personalization experience.
The installation reinterprets Loro Piana’s codes through intricate craftsmanship and materials, bringing a sense of Art Deco refinement to Bergdorf Goodman’s iconic windows. Each vignette narrates the Maison’s story of excellence since 1924, while wooden puppets representing its artisans animate scenes in warm tones of gold, brown, and green.

The women’s displays trace the transformation of raw materials into exquisite fabrics. “Masters of Fibers” illustrates cashmere’s journey from bales to weaving in miniature Loro Piana trucks bound for Italy. Another window depicts baby cashmere goats suspended in a cloudy sky, a poetic nod to the fiber’s delicacy. The following scene celebrates the thistle flower, a historic tool for brushing fine fabrics in the Maison’s Quarona factory, while another portrays New York’s skyline alongside artisans inspecting cascading fabric under magnifiers and needles. Sketches by Italian artist Marcello Dudovich then evoke the elegance of the Art Deco period, leading to the final vignette: a green window displaying a special scarf created for Bergdorf Goodman, surrounded by globes tracing the origins of the world’s finest fibers converging in New York.

The men’s windows carry a spirit of travel and tradition. Vintage miniature cars cruise along the Suitcase Stripe motif, a nod to Loro Piana’s affinity for classic automobiles. Another window shows eight bales of fiber stamped with the Maison’s emblem, followed by a loom weaving Pier Luigi Loro Piana’s phrase, “Luxury is inextricably linked to quality,” against a dark green wall. The final tableau references the brand’s first concept store, presenting fabric bolts stacked against a kummel backdrop in the style of an old textile shop.

The facade of the women’s store extends the narrative with a light animation that moves from Mongolian cashmere fields to thistle blossoms, before tracing the path of a thread that transforms into the Maison’s Quarona factory and finally into Bergdorf Goodman’s own contours.
To commemorate the occasion, Loro Piana introduces exclusive designs for Bergdorf Goodman. The capsule includes softly structured menswear in rust-toned wool and women’s cashmere ensembles in shades of grey, paired with cloche hats in animal prints. Each piece reflects quiet luxury through elevated materials and a cohesive color palette of reds and beiges.

Inside, the Maison offers a personalization service for the Grande Unita scarf and Unito blanket. Clients can embroider initials under the guidance of Loro Piana artisans, choosing from a palette of muted neutrals, pastels, and plaids. The Grande Unita scarf, introduced in the 1980s, represents the Maison’s evolution from fabric maker to creator of refined goods and remains central to its identity.

As the holiday season approaches, a curated selection of gifts, scarves, beanies, and caps crafted with Storm System fabrics, extends the installation’s sentiment of thoughtful elegance. The collaboration reflects Loro Piana’s lasting connection with New York, a city that has shaped its creative path since opening its first U.S. office in 1989 and its Bergdorf Goodman corner two decades ago.
