JW Anderson unveils the second chapter of its Loafer Bag campaign, featuring British icon Mel C, photographed by Heikki Kaski and styled by Benjamin Bruno under the creative direction of Jonathan Anderson. The campaign marks a continuation of the brand’s relaunch and expands the visual conversation started earlier this year with John Malkovich.

Mel C, best known as a member of the Spice Girls and for her celebrated solo career, brings an unexpected edge to the collection’s refined minimalism. Captured in Kaski’s raw, documentary-like imagery, she appears both relaxed and assured, a fitting representation of Anderson’s fascination with character and authenticity.

The campaign centers around the Loafer Bag, a sculptural accessory that reinterprets JW Anderson’s signature humor and craftsmanship. Its name and silhouette nod to the classic penny loafer, transforming the familiar form of footwear into a functional, wearable object. The bag appears alongside pieces from the Resort Spring Summer 2026 collection, where structured tailoring meets softened volumes, and everyday items are reconsidered through the lens of design experimentation.
Since its relaunch, JW Anderson has returned to a place of bold reinvention, merging fashion with art, object design, and cultural storytelling. The brand’s campaigns, now directed personally by Anderson, continue to use unexpected casting and unconventional narratives to define its evolving identity.

In pairing Mel C’s iconic presence with a design that straddles playfulness and precision, JW Anderson once again proves that the familiar can be made new — through wit, vision, and a keen understanding of cultural icons.
