Ronnie Fieg and ASICS expand their collaboration with a new capsule titled World’s Fair. The project introduces fresh editions of the GEL-LYTE III, the GEL-KAYANO 12.1 and 14®, the GEL-MAI 0.1, and the GEL-LYTE 3.1. Each of the eight sneakers references a host location of the World’s Fair, including Chicago, France, Japan, Canada, Italy, Brazil, South Korea, and the United States.
The GEL-LYTE III anchors the collection. First introduced in 2011 as Fieg’s debut Kith collaboration, the model now arrives in four colorways inspired by Brazil, South Korea, Italy, and Canada. Each design features quilted underlays, patent leather Tiger Stripes at the sides, the signature split tongue with Fieg branding, and co-branded footbeds. Extra laces and GEL-LYTE III wordmarking complete the updates.
Kith also revives its Vintage Tech Pack, which includes the GEL-KAYANO 12.1, GEL-MAI 0.1, and GEL-LYTE 3.1. The GEL-KAYANO 12.1 pays tribute to the United States with a Wind Chime and Pure Silver palette, featuring mesh uppers, synthetic overlays, and Kith branding details. The GEL-MAI 0.1 draws from the 1990s archive and incorporates fuzeGEL technology, updated with mesh underlays, synthetic leather overlays, and branding from both Fieg and Kith. This version reflects Japan with a custom color scheme.
The GEL-LYTE 3.1 fuses the recognizable GEL-LYTE III upper with the sole of the GEL-NIMBUS 17. Its construction features leather, quilted underlays, and a split tongue with Fieg branding, while debossed artwork honors France’s 1900 Paris World’s Fair. The capsule concludes with the GEL-KAYANO 14®, designed for Chicago. Presented in a Granite colorway with gray and white accents, the shoe features iridescent leather overlays, custom packaging, and branding from both Fieg and Kith.
To coincide with the release and the opening of Kith Chicago, ASICS and Fieg will stage their own World’s Fair in the city for one day only on Friday, October 3rd. The space will feature Fieg’s full archive of collaborations, alongside personal collections from two international collectors. The World’s Fair capsule will be showcased at the center, with early access for attendees to purchase pairs ahead of the official Chicago launch on Saturday, October 4th, and the global release on Monday, October 6th.
Fieg and ASICS will also host a conversation in Chicago on release night to discuss the collection’s inspirations and the history of their partnership. Vitality Loyalty Members can enter a drawing on the Kith App for a chance to attend. Drawings for the global release open on Friday, October 3rd, and close on Sunday, October 5th.
