Marc Jacobs and Dr. Martens reunite to launch a collaboration that revives one of Marc Jacobs’ most recognisable runway icons. The project brings the Kiki Boot back into the spotlight, nine years after its debut on the Fall 2016 runway. Photographer Olivia Parker documents the release with imagery that frames the boot’s height, edge and attitude with clear intent, matching the energy that made the original design so memorable.
SHOES
The Kiki Boot shaped a moment in Marc Jacobs’ history with its exaggerated silhouette, tall stance and sharp buckles. Its presence on the runway established a signature within the brand, defined by confidence and a sense of provocation that felt both glamorous and grounded. This new collaboration draws on that legacy and moves it forward through Dr. Martens’ utilitarian language, creating a boot that holds the tension between playfulness and grit.
The collection introduces three versions of the Kiki Boot in Black, Bright Lavender and Black Croc-Embossed Analine. Each pair sits on Dr. Martens’ Corran-heeled sole, giving the boot its weight and structure. Laddered silver buckles run up the shaft, while lock-and-key charms reference earlier collaborations between the two brands. These details add direct links to shared history without interrupting the silhouette that made the original design instantly recognisable.

While the design stays rooted in its runway origin, the materials give each version a clear identity. The Bright Lavender boot brings a vivid tone to the shape, the Black Analine version delivers a sharper finish, and the Croc-Emboss Leather style pushes texture to the foreground. The Croc Emboss Leather boot will be sold exclusively on marcjacobs.com, offering a focused distribution that matches its distinct design.
Each pair retails for $290 and becomes available on Thursday, November 13 through marcjacobs.com, drmartens.com and select stores.
