Supreme continues its long-running dialogue with outdoor culture through a new collaboration with Marmot for Winter 2025. The partnership draws directly from Marmot’s deep archive of alpine experimentation, translating decades of cold-weather innovation into a tightly focused seasonal drop.
CAPSULE COLLECTIONS
Founded in 1974 by UC Santa Cruz students David Huntley and Eric Reynolds, Marmot emerged from firsthand exploration rather than corporate design studios. After meeting on an Alaskan glacier in 1971, the pair formed the Marmot Mountain Club and began developing equipment suited to their own needs as climbers and adventurers. Working from Grand Junction, Colorado, alongside local mountaineer Tom Boyce, they produced early sleeping bags and down vests by hand, eventually opening an outdoor shop inside a converted grocery store. Marmot’s reputation grew quickly, including a notable commission to produce oversized down parkas for The Eiger Sanction, starring Clint Eastwood.

Technical curiosity has remained central to Marmot’s identity. In 1976, the brand became one of the first outdoor companies to integrate GORE-TEX into performance equipment, years before the material became industry standard. Huntley and Reynolds famously tested early prototypes by sleeping inside frozen meat lockers and under continuous water exposure, results convincing enough to shift Marmot’s entire product line toward weatherproof textiles and insulation systems. That willingness to test, fail, and refine defines the brand’s legacy over the past five decades.
Supreme’s Fall 2025 collaboration builds on this foundation rather than reworking it for novelty. The collection includes an 800-Fill Down Parka, Fleece Jacket, Base Layer Long Sleeve Top, Base Layer Pant, Fleece Balaclava, and Base Layer Beanie. Each piece reflects a balance between performance-driven construction and Supreme’s graphic restraint, allowing Marmot’s technical credibility to remain visible rather than stylized into abstraction.

The outerwear anchors the release, with the down parka positioned as a functional winter shell designed for severe conditions. Fleece layers and base garments extend the system approach, offering modular insulation intended to work together rather than as isolated statement pieces. Accessories like the balaclava and beanie complete the set, reinforcing the collection’s focus on full cold-weather coverage.
Available Friday, December 26, the Supreme / Marmot Fall 2025 collection launches globally, followed by availability in Asia and in-store at London, Milan, and Berlin locations on Saturday, December 27.
