Feng Chen Wang Fall Winter 2026, Two Forces, One Motion, steps away from linear narration and turns toward a fundamental question of coexistence. The collection examines how opposing forces occupy the same space, sustain balance, and continue to shift over time. Drawing from the Chinese philosophical concept of Liang Yi, the designer frames duality as a condition of motion. Two forces operate together, maintaining equilibrium through constant adjustment.
The runway unfolds within an imagined energy field shaped by mythical presences situated between sea and mountain. These figures signal contrasting impulses that drive the collection forward. Order, structure, and control operate alongside instinct, mutation, and physical response. The presentation avoids synthesis. Tension stays visible and active, guiding the system through motion without settling into closure.

Models walk accompanied by real pets, anchoring abstraction in lived experience. Human and animal move together across the space, forming a shared rhythm that resists hierarchy. Rational structure and instinctive behavior coexist without instruction. The pairing suggests continuity between discipline and impulse, where emotion and control operate side by side.
Structured coats and suiting define clear outlines and measured proportions. Deconstructed panels interrupt these forms, introducing openness and instability. Relaxed nylon fabrics, expanded volumes, and gathered silhouettes release the body into freer motion. Wool, down, and leather create weight and density across the collection. Lightweight textiles and animal-like surfaces disrupt that grounding through texture and surface behavior. Ink-splashed finishes and scratch-marked treatments function as evidence rather than ornament.

Designers hand-dye and process the fabric through repeated treatments, building surfaces that suggest prolonged handling. The results carry depth and irregularity without excess. Against darker tonal bases, layered dye techniques introduce friction between roughness and control. Knitwear paired with nylon adds softened, diffused color.
The timing of the collection aligns with the Lunar Year of the Horse. Dragon-Horse charms appear throughout the lineup, referencing vitality and cyclical momentum. These symbols operate quietly, grounding the collection within a broader temporal framework.
