ASICS SportStyle partners with London-based jewellery and accessories brand Completedworks for their first collaboration under the Crafts for Mind initiative. The project marks Completedworks’ debut in sneaker design and revisits the GEL-KAYANO™ 20, a performance running shoe drawn from the ASICS early-2000s archive.

The collaboration centers on craftsmanship, movement, and self-expression. Completedworks approaches the GEL-KAYANO™ 20 through its sculptural design language, reshaping the performance silhouette with jewellery-inspired detailing. The brand, known for poetic form and ornamentation, introduces a distinct sensibility to the sneaker while retaining its technical base.

Completedworks handcrafted the designs in its London studio. Each pair incorporates motifs central to the brand’s visual identity, including mismatched gems, pearlescent bows, and floral elements. These additions create a contrast between the shoe’s performance structure and expressive embellishment. The collaboration arrives in three designs, offered in classic black and white. Through this limited palette, the project explores contrast between pragmatism and ornament, movement and stillness.
Founder and Artistic Director Anna Jewsbury leads Completedworks with a practice focused on transforming everyday objects into design pieces. Her approach aligns with ASICS SportStyle’s view that footwear should function within daily life while supporting comfort and wearability. Together, the two brands present sneakers engineered for performance yet conceived for styling and everyday use.

As a studio, we often discuss the juxtaposition of femininity and a certain sense of ornateness with the practical and everyday. Trainers, with their simplicity and pragmatism, sit perfectly at the centre of that – says Anna Jewsbury, Creative Director at Completedworks.
The collaboration launches within ASICS SportStyle’s Crafts for Mind programme. This non-profit initiative supports mental wellbeing through creativity and craftsmanship. ASICS grounds the programme in its philosophy of Sound Mind, Sound Body, promoting emotional wellbeing alongside physical health. Crafts for Mind translates this belief into tangible contributions that encourage balance through creative practice.

A portion of profits from the collaboration will support Yorkshire Sculpture Park’s Community Programme. The programme delivers artist-led activities in partnership with Appletree Community Garden. These initiatives promote mental wellbeing and creativity while encouraging connection to nature through shared experiences.
The shoes qualify as customised pieces and therefore function as art objects. Due to their delicate construction, wear may cause damage. The materials may also transfer colour, fade, or produce odour when in contact with other surfaces. ASICS advises careful consideration before wearing.

The ASICS × Completedworks collaboration will release exclusively on 21 February 2026. The sneakers will debut earlier that same day during the Completedworks London Fashion Week show. Customers can purchase the collection at Completedworks.com and Dover Street Market London. Dover Street Market Paris and Dover Street Market Ginza will carry the collaboration in March. Retail pricing is set at £225, €270, and $300.
