Shakira and Burna Boy have released the video for “Dai Dai,” the official song of the FIFA World Cup 2026, in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. Directed by Hannah Lux Davis and shot in Miami, the video brings the track into a global visual frame shaped by soccer, performance, and the education-focused initiative tied to the 2026 tournament.

The video features a compilation of soccer stars Lionel Messi, Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappé, Rodrigo Hernández, Vinícius Júnior, Takefusa Kubo, Santiago Giménez, Erling Haaland, Luis Díaz, Alphonso Davies, Jamal Musiala, and Christian Pulisic. Their appearances connect “Dai Dai” directly to the scale of the FIFA World Cup 2026, placing the song within the energy of the tournament before the final takes place next summer.
The release also includes Ghetto Kids Uganda, an NGO that supports orphaned, street, and vulnerable children through music, dance, and drama. The organization uses talent as a path toward education, shelter, healthcare, food, and long-term support.
Shakira appears atop Mexico City’s Angel de la Independencia, one of Mexico’s most recognizable landmarks on Reforma Avenue. The scene serves as a visual tribute to Mexico, a country that has played an important role throughout her career. The production received support from the capital’s tourism campaign “Ciudad de México Corazón Grande,” which helped bring the moment to life.
The video arrives ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show on Sunday, July 19, where Shakira will co-headline alongside Madonna and BTS. She will perform “Dai Dai” with Burna Boy during the event. The final will introduce the first halftime show in FIFA World Cup history, using the platform to support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund through a high-profile cultural moment tied to the tournament.
Announced last week at Global Citizen Now in New York, “Dai Dai” serves as the official anthem of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. The fund aims to raise USD 100 million by the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final to provide children in underserved communities with access to quality education and sports. Shakira will donate her royalties from “Dai Dai” to the fund, while Sony Music will match the first USD 250,000 raised with a donation. She will also donate USD 1 from every ticket sold to her upcoming “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” tour.
This summer, Shakira will continue the “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” World Tour with a limited run of U.S. arena dates. In October, she will headline an 11-night stadium residency in Madrid, where a stadium named “Shakira Stadium” will host the run. The residency has already sold more than half a million tickets.
For Burna Boy, the “Dai Dai” video adds another major global moment to a career shaped by music, sport, and international performance. The Nigerian artist has headlined arenas and stadiums across the world, performed at the NBA All-Star Game, and built major partnerships across music and sport.
