SONGZIO presents its Spring Summer 2027 collection, IMPAVIDE, as a study of fearlessness held within the body. The title points to a quiet form of courage, one that does not rely on display. The collection brings that inner resolve into view through men’s and women’s looks that suggest characters arriving from another era. These figures appear to carry signs from the past, moving forward with warning, certainty and restraint.

The collection draws from historical Korean archetypes and places them in a contemporary context. SONGZIO uses this source to examine protection, freedom, strength and vulnerability through cut, volume and surface. Garments hold the body, shield it and expose it in measured ways, giving the season a tense visual language.
SONGZIO twists and rotates patterns, creating movement through cut. Asymmetric draping gives jackets, panels and skirts a sense of motion. Deep slit necklines open the body, cascading panels fall across the frame and bias cut constructions alter the expected lines of tailoring.
Armour like layers add another dimension. SONGZIO builds these shapes with body contoured pleats, layered constructions and articulated outlines. Jacket fronts fall straight and close through overlapping inner and outer panels. The git, a removable collar element from hanbok, returns as a contemporary detail. Protrusions on the backs of jackets introduce beauty through distortion, giving familiar tailoring an unsettled charge.
Shell and cocoon forms expand around the body through raglan dolman constructions, allowing garments to swell and recede. Cropped upper proportions meet asymmetrically draped skirts, layered trousers and generous lower shapes.
Natural habotai silk, wool linen, cotton linen mesh and organza appear with metallic surfaces, punk leaning tweed, shimmery vinyl, semi sheer layers and paper light leathers. Some leather surfaces appear wrinkled and crushed. Hand frayed fringed edges, distressed seams, hems and slashed openings suggest clothing that has traveled across time. A palette of dramatic black and ivory dominates the collection, with painterly accents of sage, citron, berry and ink adding sharp moments of color.
Scarf ties move around the body with a softer line. A recurring neckline uses ribbons threaded through belt loops, crossing the body and adding a quieter form of tension. Asymmetric derby shoes with oversized soles and cutout boot sandals in patinated leather ground the figures with weight and direction.
With IMPAVIDE, SONGZIO centers resilience and the unknown. The Spring Summer 2027 season turns historical reference, distorted tailoring, protective layers and distressed surfaces into a vision of figures who face time and space without retreat.
