Stockholm Surfboard Club looks to surf culture, music and personal style across generations for Spring Summer 2027. The collection begins with Creative Director Manne Glad’s interest in Dick Dale and the early Californian surf scene, then follows the cultural movements that grew alongside surfing, from surf rock and mid century California to psychedelia, grunge and later influences.
SPRING SUMMER 2027
“Surf culture has always had a soundtrack,” says Glad, pointing to Dale’s raw energy, experimental attitude and connection to the ocean. That starting point sends the season toward a broader study of the people, music and creative scenes that have surrounded surfing through the decades. The collection treats surf culture as something open and absorptive, shaped by sound, travel, community and personal expression.

The season imagines a coastal guesthouse as its central setting. Surfers, musicians, poets, drifters and artists pass through its rooms, each one leaving behind a trace of style or sound before moving on. This idea gives the collection its collected quality. Garments seem to carry fragments from different periods and people, forming a wardrobe built through use, movement and cultural exchange.
Spring Summer 2027 brings together several moments in surf history. The clean dressed attitude of late 1950s and early 1960s California appears through sharper pieces, while the psychedelic era enters through references connected to Jimi Hendrix and surfer David Nuuhiwa. Grunge adds a looser, more worn character.

Cropped trousers with zip details appear with relaxed shirting and lightweight blousons. A zip up shirt with a rouched back yoke adds a more vulnerable note to the collection. Knitwear plays a major role, moving from refined cardigans with mid century sportswear references to relaxed henleys with cut off sleeves and a more personal feel.
The jersey program follows different parts of the same story. Waffle textures, striped T-shirts and relaxed surf essentials appear with vintage inspired stamp graphics that point to travel and cultural exchange. A paisley shirt brings in the psychedelic reference, while relaxed silhouettes throughout the collection speak to the individuality shared by surfers, musicians and artists.

Denim remains a key part of the Stockholm Surfboard Club wardrobe. The season introduces relaxed vintage washed jeans with a surf short inspired waistband construction, connecting daily dressing with beach culture. Heavily washed chinos continue the collection’s relaxed attitude and add another worn texture to the lineup. The color palette builds from beige, stone, natural whites, sun bleached greys and muted earth tones. Flashes of red and vibrant blue cut through this base. Blue defines the season, appearing across tailoring, knitwear, shirting, jersey and outerwear.
Spring Summer 2027 focuses on cultural exchange and the way ideas, music, style and surf travel through generations. The collection brings different stories and perspectives into a wardrobe that feels personal, lived with and gathered over time. Teitur Ardal photographed the lookbook, Frasse Johansson styled it, Nikola Grozdic created the hair and Johanna Larsson handled makeup.
