PUMA and Borussia Dortmund introduce the club’s 2026/27 third kit in bright purple with neon yellow details. The new jersey replaces the club’s familiar black and yellow combination with a fresh color scheme for supporters who want a different expression of BVB identity on match days and beyond.

Purple covers the main body of the shirt, while neon yellow appears on the V neck collar and sleeve cuffs. The Borussia Dortmund crest and PUMA Cat logo also use yellow, creating a strong contrast against the purple fabric. A tonal pinstripe texture runs through the jersey, while the overall cut gives the kit a clean, modern profile for elite football.

Dominique Gathier, PUMA Vice President Teamsport, explains that the design gives Dortmund supporters a look they have not seen before while preserving the visual traits that define the club. He describes the purple color as a new choice that still carries unmistakable BVB identity. PUMA developed the shirt for fans who want to display their support in a different way, whether they follow the team from the terraces or elsewhere.
PUMA offers the kit in Authentic and Replica versions. The Authentic jersey uses the brand’s ULTRAWEAVE fabric, which keeps the shirt ultra light and supports unrestricted athletic motion during elite competition. PUMA also includes dryCELL and ThermoAdapt technologies to manage sweat and regulate body heat during a full match. The company uses at least 50 percent recycled material in this version.

The Replica jersey carries the same purple and neon yellow identity into a more casual silhouette for match days and daily wear. PUMA creates the shirt through RE technology, which uses textile waste to produce fabric containing 95 percent recycled polyester. This approach gives supporters a version that retains the appearance of the match jersey while meeting the needs of regular use.
Borussia Dortmund will introduce the third kit during the club’s Japan Tour. PUMA will support Borussia Dortmund as the club hosts a street football tournament in Tokyo. The event will take place in front of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and will give children from Tokyo the chance to participate on one of the city’s most recognizable stages.

PUMA launches the Borussia Dortmund 2026/27 third kit on July 30 through puma.com and select retail partners globally.
