Jordan Brand brings back the Air Jordan 4 Rare Air Tour Yellow on September 5, 2026, giving the 2006 colorway its first reissue in twenty years. The new pair arrives in White, Dark Blue Grey, Black and Tour Yellow, preserving the color combination that gave the original release its identity.

Premium white leather covers most of the upper and creates the base for the darker accents. Matching mesh appears on the side panels and tongue, while Black and Dark Blue Grey details define the wings, lining and smaller structural elements. Tour Yellow takes over part of the midsole, where black speckling adds the feature most closely associated with this edition.
Jordan Brand first released the “Tour Yellow” Air Jordan 4 on May 20, 2006 under its LS, or Lifestyle, program. The series gave retro Air Jordan models color schemes developed outside the red, black and white combinations linked closely with Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls years. The original “Tour Yellow” pair retailed for $125 and reached select retailers alongside coordinating apparel.
One of the 2006 sneaker’s distinctive features appeared on the tongue. Jordan Brand used a hook-and-loop patch that allowed wearers to reveal alternate “Rare Air” branding. The 2026 edition returns to that concept with flippable and interchangeable labels, giving owners several ways to change the tongue branding.
The sneaker retains key Air Jordan 4 construction details. Visible Nike Air cushioning at the heel absorbs impact, while Max Air provides additional support underfoot. A foam midsole and rubber outsole complete the base. Jumpman branding appears on the heel, while the layered leather panels, mesh sections and wing eyelets maintain the familiar AJ4 structure.
Tinker Hatfield originally designed the Air Jordan 4, which debuted in 1989 as Michael Jordan’s fourth signature sneaker. By 2006, Jordan Brand had developed a growing retro business that gave earlier silhouettes new color treatments and lifestyle-focused releases. “Tour Yellow” became part of that period, arriving well after the model’s original basketball debut and using a palette created specifically for the retro market.
The 2026 release carries style code IO2463-102. Jordan Brand prices the adult pair at $220. Big Kids’ sizes retail for $165, Little Kids’ pairs cost $105, and Toddler sizes cost $90 in the United States. Nike SNKRS lists all four versions for September 5, 2026.
