Discover Antonio Grimaldi‘s Fall Winter 2018.19 Punk Queens Couture collection presented on July 2nd, at Les Salons France-Ameriques, during the ongoing Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture. The collection was inspired by Charles Baudelaire’s poem Hymne a la Beaute (Hymn to Beauty), and the idea of a timeless and absolute beauty. For the first time Grimaldi introduced menswear looks into his couture collections.

“Visual emotions for the contemporary punk queens and style icons that embrace a dark charm brings forward to the catwalk the sensual protagonist, honouring the Elizabethan and Victorian elegance of the English noblewomen with garments of linear and essential cuts. Minimal embroidery in fil coupé with plaques, chandelier like crystals on long dresses, appliques with plumage, sequins in velvet and leather.
For fabrics, silk chiffon but also coupé organza with chenille embroidery, guipure lamé and gold liquid georgette, while powder pink vinyl sandals complete the look. The young Saudi model Taleedah Tamer acts as Muse for the winter collection from The House of Antonio Grimaldi, marking her first passes on the Parisian catwalks wearing the couturier’s creations. Another first, the debut of a mens collection, for a couture that looks beyond genders.”
