Fashion brand C.R.E.O.L.E. unveiled its Spring Summer 2024 Collection that pays tribute to the 1979 film “Coco La Fleur, Candidat” by a well-known Guadeloupean director Christian Laura, on June 25th, with a presentation that took place at the prestigious Palais de Tokyo, during the recently finished Paris Fashion Week. The collection was inspired by the Coco La Fleur, Candidat film, notable in French cinema history since it was the first Antillean (French Caribbean) film directed in Guadeloupe. To this day, the film’s timeless message resonates with the reality of the French overseas territories. It confronts populist dreams against technocratic elites, creating a sense of revolution amid the election season.

With the collection designer Vincent Frederic-Colombo defies established norms and traditions, blending elements of workwear into his designs. The C.R.E.O.L.E. Spring Summer 2024 Collection deliberately deconstructs social classes with subtlety and grace, while adding a touch of tropical symbolism from both past and present.
