Ronnie Fieg and New Balance continue their collaborative run with the launch of the ABZORB 2010. Originally introduced as part of New Balance’s performance line, the ABZORB 2010 reemerges as a lifestyle sneaker, redesigned with input from Fieg and constructed to meet contemporary expectations.
Built from scratch, the updated ABZORB 2010 maintains the model’s early-2000s design cues while incorporating updated materials and structural improvements. The upper combines premium pig suede with synthetic nubuck overlays, paired with open mesh underlays for breathability and layered texture. The shoe is detailed with Kith and Fieg branding throughout, including a debossed monogram on the lateral and medial sides of the “N” logo, tonal embroidered tongue tags, and printed insoles. These additions signal the brand’s tailored approach to reviving archival models.

The collaboration introduces two distinct colorways. The first features a muted yet complex palette of purples, burgundy, and soft blue, offering a layered mix of warm and cool tones. The second option contrasts black and deep purple with a vibrant pop of yellow on the midsole pods and accents. Both pairs feature tonal rubber outsoles with either silver or purple pod components, reinforcing the model’s ABZORB cushioning system while completing the silhouette’s visual structure.

Performance features have been preserved and updated. The ABZORB midsole cushioning provides responsive comfort for daily wear, while the structured upper offers support and stability. These upgrades ensure that the model remains functional without sacrificing style. The build reflects a balance of past and present, pairing athletic origins with modern lifestyle use.

This drop coincided with the reopening of Kith Manhattan, offering early access to the collaboration at the flagship store. Customers who attended the reopening on May 16 were able to purchase the sneakers in person. A wider release is scheduled for May 19 at Kith shops globally and online at 11AM EST on Kith.com, as well as its Canada and EU platforms. Retail price is set at $160 USD.
