“The time will come
when, with elation,
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror...”
Derek Walcott
These words by the poet Derek Walcott describe the message of the Rebekka Ruétz Spring Summer 2026 collection. It can be understood as a call to take off the mask and let our true selves shine through. This attitude is intended to free us from what the world expects of us and allows us to follow our own ideas and ideals, regardless of expectations, masks, and roles. As location, Alte Münze was chosen, a historic venue that has itself undergone many transformations and therefore perfectly matched the mood of this line. The architecture reflects the change and multidimensionality that is also present in this range.
“The title of the collection is „FEASTonyourlife“, and its theme revolves around shedding masks, embracing the true self, and celebrating one‘s essence. This collection invites you to live life authentically, free from shame, beyond expectations and roles. It speaks of self-acceptance, inner truth, and the courage to reveal oneself in all raw, unfiltered beauty. It‘s not only about external changes, but also about the inner journey, the moment of recognizing the true self after a long period of denial and deceit.” declared the designer, Rebekka Ruétz

The theme of the covering, behind which many people hide, was also reflected in the make-up. Some models wore mask-like make-up on their faces. Furthermore sculptural masks made from glass and wire were visibly as well. These fragile works of art were standing for the removal of the cover and for the moment of self-discovery. Creative Director and Make-up Artist Sam Hill developed both the make-up and hairstyling looks.
If you take a closer look at the shapes, you will recognize elements from the current collection as well as inspirations from Japanese porcelain painting. Elements like zippers across the face remind us of the opening of the disguise, the moment when we discover ourselves. Protective components, such as wire mesh, can be interpreted as a symbol of the longing for inner integrity and protection from the outer world. Walcott declares the true act of liberation lies not in perfection, but rather in the grace we reveal the layers that separate us from the truth. This collection plays with the idea of revelation, when the illusion shatters and you have to come to terms with your true self.
“Peel your own image from the mirror.“
The catwalk became a mirror, showing us what it means to hide behind an expected role and encouraging us to transform ourselves. This invitation goes beyond revealing the layers, rather it reinforces the inner strength to transform oneself and to stand by this outwardly as well. This range strives to encourage us to free ourselves from the mask that might protect and distort us and no longer deny our true values. Moreover it can be interpreted as a step into freedom, to live an authentic, vulnerable, but at the same time strong life: “Feast on your life“.

The tones of this line depict a quiet dialogue between nature and our inner world. The colour palette contains gentle transitions from Raven Black to Peat Brown, from Smoke Grey to Dirty White, which shall reflect the depth of the moment when we rediscover ourselves. Several shades of blue, such as Midnight Blue and Ice Blue, guide us through phases of self-discovery. In addition to that, Slate Grey and Beige give the looks a quiet, thoughtful overall impression. Ivory White challenges us to clearly accept and embody our true selves. Rich gold and shimmering silver encourages us to celebrate the inner growth that arises from the deepest moments of truth.
As in previous seasons, the choice of materials focuses of sustainable and vegan garments. Change and responsibility plays a major role in this set. Organic cotton and organic denim are used most frequently. This selection can be understood as a silent reminder to appreciate and protect the raw beauty our earth offers us.

The silhouettes of this Spring/Summer 2026 collection are a creative play between tension and harmony, a dance between form and freedom. They symbolise the dialgoue between reality and what lies dormant deep within us. Contrary elements are often united in one look: for instance fine lines team up with volume, mirroring the mobility and freedom of the body. The outfits are very individually tailored, no two looks are exactly alike, and therefore it can be seen as a motivation to show oneself in the full depth of the self, and unite strength and vulnerability into a new form of self-acceptance and authentic expression.
With her highly individual, sustainable Spring/Summer 2026 collection titled “Feast on your life”, Rebekka Ruétz encourages us to free ourselves from the mask that might protect and distort us and to show our own, authentic self.
