French luxury house Dior has named British actress and model Mia Goth its new global ambassador. The announcement comes as Jonathan Anderson begins his tenure as artistic director, a change that places all of Dior’s womenswear, menswear, and haute couture under a single vision.
Goth entered fashion before building her career in film. A photographer discovered her as a teenager at London’s Underage Festival, leading to campaigns with Prada and Miu Miu. She soon appeared in editorials for Vogue, Dazed, W, Interview, British Vogue, and Glamour.
Her screen debut arrived in 2013 with Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac: Volume II. She went on to star in Stephen Fingleton’s The Survivalist (2015) and Gore Verbinski’s A Cure for Wellness (2016). In 2018 she featured in Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria and Claire Denis’ High Life, both projects that emphasized her interest in unconventional roles. Autumn de Wilde’s adaptation of Emma (2020) introduced her to a wider audience.
Goth’s most widely recognized work came with Ti West’s X trilogy. In X (2022) she portrayed both Maxine Minx and Pearl, a performance enhanced by extensive prosthetics. She co-wrote and starred in Pearl (2022), which traced Pearl’s early life, and returned in MaXXXine (2024), set in 1980s Los Angeles. The trilogy elevated her reputation and proved commercially successful.
In 2025 she appeared in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, premiering at the Venice Film Festival. On the red carpet she wore a chocolate satin gown by Anderson, an early signal of the partnership now formalized by Dior.
The house emphasized that Goth reflects qualities Anderson wants to project in his collections, describing her presence as independent and magnetic. Anderson himself noted her strength and empathy, qualities he views as integral to the Dior woman he aims to define. With her appointment, Goth joins the ambassadors announced under Anderson’s leadership, aligning her image with the new direction he sets for Dior.
