Zara is set to launch a surprise collaboration with Ludovic de Saint Sernin on November 17th, continuing the brand’s recent momentum in designer partnerships. The announcement dropped with a visually striking video and campaign captured by Gordon von Steiner, featuring models Alex Consani, Amelia Gray, Maxime, Awwal Adeoti, and Ludovic de Saint Sernin himself. The campaign was shot on the streets and among the iconic buildings of Tribeca, New York City, capturing a raw urban energy that mirrors Ludovic’s signature aesthetic.
This collaboration follows Ludovic’s previous work with Zara, where he designed a limited-edition armchair for the brand’s 50th anniversary at the end of September and early October. That collectible piece, priced over 1000 euros, set a precedent for high-concept, limited-run items. However, the pricing for the upcoming ready-to-wear collection remains under wraps. If recent Zara collaborations are any indication, such as the Samuel Ross and Harry Lambert drops, most items are expected to stay below the 200-euro mark, with outerwear typically ranging between 200 and 250 US dollars.

Zara’s approach marks a noticeable shift in the high street’s collaboration landscape. Where H&M once set the pace with one or two designer partnerships per year, Zara has accelerated the frequency and scale of these projects. The Ludovic de Saint Sernin collection is the third major designer drop this season, following Samuel Ross and London-based stylist Harry Lambert’s capsule. Notably, these launches have arrived with minimal pre-release hype, relying instead on the surprise factor and the strength of the designer’s vision.
The expansion of Zara’s designer collaborations casts a shadow over competitors, such as H&M’s recent collection with Glenn Martens, which debuted just a week ago. The industry is witnessing an amplification of high street–designer partnerships, with Zara now leading the charge in both quantity and creative ambition. Ludovic de Saint Sernin, while considered a boutique name, brings a well-respected reputation and a distinctive, sensual design language to the table, qualities that are clearly visible in the collection’s first visuals.
As anticipation builds for the November 17th release, all eyes are on Zara’s website for the full reveal and price list. The collaboration signals not just another commercial partnership, but an ongoing evolution of how major retailers engage with the world’s most innovative fashion talent.
