returns for the winter Season 2, with the designer’s strong take on outdoor men’s pieces. Samuel Ross, the creative force behind SR_A (Samuel Ross Atelier), continues his mission to equip the global creative community with functional, refined garments, pieces engineered for living fully in the 21st century. The new collection created in a detailed collaboration with Inditex’s Zara is  putting a spotlight on Ross’s philosophy of balance, movement, and self-expression.

This season’s campaign, shot outdoors by legendary Belgian fashion photographer Willy Vanderperre, captures the lush, natural energy that underpins the collection. Director Gorka Sorozabal, hair stylist Anthony Turner, makeup artist Lynsey Alexander, and fresh faced models Chandler Frye, Julez Smith, Long Li, and Timo Pan bring the vision to life, illustrating the core visual values of SAMUEL ROSS_ACCESS POWERED BY ZARA with a spotlight on movement, rest, and expression. The outdoor element prevails, as the Inditex group and Ross are keen on establishing a potentially long term collaboration with a more distilled designer shapen result on Zara shelves. However, the point is to stay away from the mass production sentiment of Inditex group, instead the collection is limited and available only on a few physical locations.

Ross’s design language is evident in the rawness of proportions, the billowing volumes, and a color palette that is rich without being overbearing. The structure and weight of the materials convey fortitude, while the collection’s focus on respite, outerwear, and enduring winter clothing while ensuring versatility and comfort. SAMUEL ROSS_ACCESS POWERED BY ZARA is engineered to support a fulfilling, balanced life, where every garment is both a statement and a tool for daily outerwear living.

The winter Season 2 stands as the next chapter in an ongoing design dialogue. SR_A engineered by ZARA is a multidisciplinary project, with Ross’s atelier known for art, furniture, industrial design, and garments. Ross has collaborated in 2022 on a special cover edition of DSCENE magazine’s print design issue. The SAMUEL ROSS_ACCESS POWERED BY ZARA partnership significantly broadens access to Ross’s vision, offering a meticulously crafted menswear capsule presented at curated installations in Paris and New York before its global rollout through ZARA’s network.

Ross draws inspiration from both the ancient world and the future, designing garments that empower self-curation and adaptability for today’s world. As Ross previously notes, “My intersection is sited in the overlap between culture and youth culture, art and fashion. It’s about bringing these elements together to create the tension of connection.” SAMUEL ROSS_ACCESS POWERED BY ZARA embodies this philosophy, providing equipment for a contemporary protagonist navigating a noisy, fast-paced moment we are all living in.

Enveloping outerwear in naturally finished fabrics features hoods designed for both shelter and observation, adapting to the needs of the wearer. Faux fur trapper footwear and accessories add insulation, further supporting the collection’s focus on comfort and protection. Each design element is intentional, reflecting Ross’s dedication to function, form, and the lived experience of the wearer.

SAMUEL ROSS_ACCESS POWERED BY ZARA expands the language of contemporary classicism that defines Ross’s aesthetic. The collection introduces a bracingly clear perspective into the evolving world of modern menswear, offering garments as special artist’s editions that reflect the atelier’s ethos. “This is just the beginning of the story that I am already working to expand and enrich with Zara,” Ross shared when the collaboration initially launched. “I think about these garments as special artist’s editions that reflect everything we do in the atelier as we look to carve our new space, and which also allow that message and attitude to be shared, enjoyed, and adapted. It’s my way of passing on the work.”

The Winter Season 2 campaign for SAMUEL ROSS_ACCESS POWERED BY ZARA, shot by Willy Vanderperre, channels the collection’s raw, authentic spirit. Sorozabal’s direction, Turner’s styling, and Alexander’s makeup artistry combine with the models’ presence to create visuals that are both striking and evocative. Together, they embody the dynamic, expressive spirit of SAMUEL ROSS_ACCESS POWERED BY ZARA, ready to meet the challenges and opportunities of contemporary life. The collection invites the creative community to experience garments that are as thoughtful as they are wearable, making a lasting impact on both fashion and culture.
