Kith closes out 2025 by pushing its collaboration with Columbia into new terrain. The Kith for Columbia NSE (Nippon Snow Expedition) collection signals a clear shift away from streetwear codes and toward a fully developed alpine system. Designed with the conditions of northern Japan in mind, the range draws direct reference from Hokkaido and the slopes surrounding Mount Yōtei.
The collection places function first, using Columbia’s technical systems as its base while refining the overall presentation through Kith’s design language. Rather than leaning on graphic excess, the garments carry detailed artwork tied to Japanese imagery, including momiji leaves, red-crowned cranes, and brown bears.
At the core of the apparel offering sits the 3L Ski Interchange Jacket. The design uses a two-layer construction that adapts to shifting conditions, pairing an Omni-Tech waterproof shell with a removable, reversible Thermarator insulated liner. This system allows the jacket to function across a range of temperatures while maintaining a streamlined profile.
For deeper winter conditions, the collection introduces 2L Ski Bibs and Pants designed for back-country use. Both pieces feature Kith-monogrammed Omni-Heat Infinity lining, placing thermal efficiency directly against the body. The reflective material works to retain warmth without adding bulk, keeping movement unrestricted during extended wear.
A defining development within the NSE collection arrives through Kith’s first move into professional-grade snow equipment. For the first time, the brand partners with Nordica, introducing its inaugural ski offering. The Enforcer 94 and Unleashed 106 models serve as the foundation, selected for their adaptability across varying terrain. Alongside them, the Speedmachine 3 130S Ski Boot completes the setup, chosen for its technical precision and established performance credentials.
The equipment category extends further with snowboards from Capita and bindings by Union, creating a cohesive system that covers multiple disciplines. Protective gear and eyewear come through a custom collaboration with Oakley, including MOD5 helmets and Flow Scape goggles tailored to the collection’s visual direction.
Footwear and mid-layers reinforce the alpine focus. Pieces such as the Newton Alpine shearling-lined boots and Sherpa Harper jackets prioritize insulation and durability while maintaining a refined shape.
The Kith for Columbia NSE collection arrives on December 29 through Kith’s Monday Program. With its expansion into hardgoods and its emphasis on technical design, the project marks a decisive moment for Kith’s winter offering.
