Martine Rose Cancels Fall Winter 2026 Production as Changes Hit Tomorrow Group

The designer halts production of her latest collection while Coperni cancels its Paris Fashion Week show and Tomorrow CEO Alessandra Rossi exits.

Martine Rose has cancelled production of her Fall Winter 2026 collection, describing the move as a difficult but necessary step to protect the future of her business. The designer confirmed the decision in a statement to WWD, explaining that she had been “forced to make the unprecedented decision to cancel the season’s production orders.”

“This is incredibly frustrating for myself and my team, especially following the successful sales season we’ve just had,” Rose said. “However, these drastic measures are necessary to ensure my brand’s long-term success.”

The announcement arrives during a moment of broader change connected to Tomorrow Ltd., the group that acquired a majority stake in the Martine Rose label in 2021. In recent days the company has also seen leadership shifts and disruptions within its brand portfolio. Alessandra Rossi, CEO of the brands division at Tomorrow, has parted ways with the company, while Coperni, another label backed by the group, cancelled its scheduled Paris Fashion Week show.

Rose explained that the decision to stop production did not reflect a lack of market demand. The designer pointed to the strong sales performance the label experienced during the previous season and emphasized the continued support from retailers and customers around the world.

“I am naturally saddened and disappointed to have had to take this decision,” Rose added. “I continue to receive enormous global support from our stockists, customers and friends, for which I am very grateful. I’m looking forward to the brighter days ahead for my business beyond this transitional moment.”

Rose declined to provide additional details about the circumstances behind the cancellation.

The Fall Winter 2026 collection had already drawn attention during previews earlier this year. The lineup included hot pink fur pieces, dark denim, flocked trousers, jackets with corset-style stitching, and lingerie elements integrated into dress shirts. Rose described the direction of the collection as a reinterpretation of decadence filtered through her design language.

Historical and cultural references also informed the collection. Rose cited figures such as King Henry VIII, James Brown, and British boxing champion Prince Naseem as part of the visual narrative that shaped the season. The designer summarized the creative approach with a simple goal: returning attention to the garments themselves.

Since launching her label in London in 2007, Rose has built a reputation as one of the most influential voices in contemporary menswear. Her work helped shape the oversized, distressed, and vintage-influenced silhouettes that defined the past decade of street and luxury fashion. The brand maintains a global retail network of roughly 200 stockists, including Dover Street Market, H Lorenzo, Nordstrom, The Webster, SKP in China, and Browns.

Rose has also developed collaborations with major companies including Nike, Napapijri, Tommy Hilfiger, and Clarks. In 2023 she served as guest menswear designer at Pitti Uomo and later worked alongside Demna on Balenciaga menswear projects.

The cancellation of the Fall Winter 2026 production therefore marks a significant pause for the label at a time when its international presence continues to expand. While details surrounding the decision remain limited, Rose emphasized that the step forms part of a strategy aimed at securing the long-term stability of the brand.

Industry observers now watch closely how Tomorrow restructures its brand portfolio following the recent leadership departure and the cancellation of Coperni’s Paris Fashion Week show. For Martine Rose, the designer frames the current moment as a temporary transition within a longer trajectory.
