KEEN teams up with New York menswear label 18 East to introduce a limited-edition version of the Jasper Zionic sneaker. The collaboration connects outdoor functionality with a streetwear-focused approach, reworking an existing silhouette through material updates and surface treatment. The release brings KEEN’s hybrid footwear into a new context shaped by 18 East’s design language.

The Jasper Zionic originates from climbing culture and combines elements from two existing models. It merges the fast-hike performance of the Zionic with the lace structure and design identity of the Jasper sneaker. The result forms a multi-purpose shoe built for varied daily use, from outdoor activity to city wear. This foundation remains intact, while 18 East introduces changes that shift the visual direction.

18 East founder Antonio Ciongoli approaches the design through versatility. He selects ballistic nylon and soft suede for the upper, creating contrast in texture and durability. The nylon receives an all-over Rajasthani stitch pattern, executed in reflective 3M thread. This detail references traditional craft techniques while increasing visibility in different environments. The update connects visual design with functional performance.
The collaboration also introduces subtle structural adjustments. The toe panel features suede construction shaped to suggest a T-Toe form. This modification changes the front profile without altering the overall identity of the shoe. An oversized heel pull adds a clear 18 East logo, giving the sneaker a defined co-branded element.
Material sourcing follows KEEN’s existing standards. The suede leather comes from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group, supporting environmental and social practices. Detailed stitching reinforces the construction and adds texture across the upper.

The outsole supports performance through a higher-traction rubber base. An aggressive, studded lug pattern improves ground contact and supports movement throughout the day. A heel crash pad wraps the outsole around the back of the shoe, helping absorb impact during use. The shoe also includes a contoured fit with tongue-to-toe lacing, securing the foot in place for stability.
Additional functionality appears through KEEN’s Eco Anti-Odor technology. The system uses natural probiotics to control odor while maintaining safety for both the wearer and the environment. This feature aligns with the shoe’s focus on practical wear across different conditions.
The Jasper Zionic 18 East sneaker will release in the United States on April 17, 2026. It will be available in men’s sizing through KEEN’s official website, 18 East’s online store, and select retailers.
