NikeSKIMS expands its performance apparel line with Studio Stretch, a new material-innovation collection created for studio workouts and daily wear. Studio Stretch brings the brand’s softest and lightest material innovation into close-to-body essentials made for yoga, Pilates, and movement-focused routines. NikeSKIMS builds the collection around light compression, high stretch, and a buttery-soft hand feel, supporting the body through poses, stretches, and transitions. The fabric moves naturally and helps reduce distractions, while its lighter feel extends the pieces beyond the studio.

The collection forms part of NikeSKIMS’ head-to-toe system of dress. Studio Stretch works as a foundation layer within that structure, connecting with other NikeSKIMS material collections, including semi-sheer Weightless layers and breathable Airy basics. The brand positions Studio Stretch as a studio-focused base that can move into everyday styling through layered looks, off-body pieces, footwear, and accessories.

Kim Kardashian, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of SKIMS, describes Studio Stretch as a material made to feel close to the skin. “With Studio Stretch, we set out to create something that feels beautiful on the body – a buttery-soft, lightweight material that almost feels like a second skin. The material is so comfortable it almost feels like wearing nothing at all,” Kardashian says. She also points to the collection’s soft neutral colors and everyday silhouettes as pieces intended for regular wear.
NikeSKIMS engineers the fabric with Lycra Adaptiv to support stretch, movement, and recovery, helping the pieces keep their shape through repeated wear. Dri-FIT technology helps the wearer stay dry and comfortable during sweat-heavy moments. Studio Stretch carries less compression than other NikeSKIMS collections, giving the material a lighter.

Amy Montagne, President of Nike, connects the collection to the shared priorities behind NikeSKIMS. “NikeSKIMS represents the best of what happens when performance innovation meets a deep understanding of the female form,” Montagne says. “Studio Stretch combines Nike’s performance innovation expertise with SKIMS’ obsession with fit and feel, delivering a collection that truly supports women wherever and however they move.”
Studio Stretch includes 11 close-to-body silhouettes across bras, tops, shorts, leggings, and an adjustable scoop-back one piece. The designers focused on minimal seam lines to create smooth finishes, reduce fabric bunching, and complement curves. The collection also considers strap placement and waistband shaping, with pieces developed for comfort, confidence, and a wide range of body types.

Jens Grede, Co-Founder and CEO of SKIMS, frames Studio Stretch as a key step in NikeSKIMS material development. “NikeSKIMS is about setting a new standard in the industry and delivering innovation and style that hasn’t been seen before. Studio Stretch is a powerful expression of that focus,” Grede says. “Together with Nike, we’re pushing our material development even further, ensuring we deliver products with unmatched quality.”
Offered in soft neutral tones and inclusive sizing from XXS to 4X, Studio Stretch gives NikeSKIMS a lighter studio category within its growing apparel system. The collection centers fabric, fit, and movement, bringing Nike performance technology and SKIMS body-focused design into pieces made for workouts, layering, and daily dressing. The collection launches globally on May 14 online, with select Nike, SKIMS, and partner retail locations to follow.
