EGONLAB Spring Summer 2027 takes the name Ataraxia and builds a collection around calm in a time of unrest. Florentin Glémarec and Kevin Nompeix look at the modern world through uncertainty, information overload and anxiety, then respond with clothing that offers protection, expression and a sense of unity. The duo uses the runway as a place to define an alternative reality, where garments carry hope and support individuality without fixed limits.
SPRING SUMMER 2027
The collection begins with the idea of liminal spaces, the imaginary places that appeared inside digital communities in the early 2000s. These monochromatic labyrinths often suggest wandering, unease and suspension. EGONLAB gives them another role. The designers treat them as open zones where transformation can happen and where past and future create the present.

Trompe l’oeil details appear across the collection. A denim jacket carries a lining that rises into a poplin collar. One shirt hides a printed trail along the button placket, suggesting the trace of a tie. Another shirt uses technical fabric and a drawstring, placing utility inside a transitional shape. A track jacket reveals the outline of a T-shirt at the waist, creating the image of a second garment without placing it there. EGONLAB keeps tailoring central this season, removing weight through lighter fabrics and reduced linings. Blazers follow the body with a light feel while keeping structure. Jackets tuck into trousers and shorts throughout the collection, sharpening the waist and giving each look a direct, controlled line.
For Summer 2027, EGONLAB also introduces its own reading of Coquette Core. The designers draw from coquetry and quote Marivaux, who described negligence as a simulated refusal of coquetry and the finest expression of the desire to please. In this section, colors soften and angular lines curve. A silk shirt receives hand-applied Swarovski crystal trim. A satin cap-hat ties beneath the chin with an oversized bow. Sleepwear codes move into what EGONLAB calls midnight wear, a time when anything can happen and tomorrow still belongs to today.

Foam-like traces across denim shorts come from a tearing process stopped before completion, leaving the garment suspended in action. Models wear surreal frame necklaces around the neck, shown as relics of past oppression. Several garments carry wave-like pleats made through a complex embossing technique, referring directly to Magritte’s The Lovers.
EGONLAB extends the season through a collaboration with Eastpak. The project connects EGONLAB’s approach to silhouette, proportion and gender-fluid expression with Eastpak’s focus on durability and utility. The bags move between runway and daily use, treating the street as a living space for identity, movement and function.

The collaboration includes small and large tote bags, along with mini Belt Padded styles that work alone or attach to larger silhouettes. Practical details include trolley loops, laptop sleeves, key rings and belt attachments. The pieces come in YD Check, which reworks a classic pattern through EGONLAB’s graphic view, and Faux Leather, which gives the bags a smooth, defined surface.
