Netflix has released the first trailer and new images for The Gentlemen Season 2, confirming a September 3 premiere. The footage reunites Theo James as Eddie Horniman and Kaya Scodelario as Susie Glass, while Ray Winstone, Joely Richardson and Vinnie Jones also return. The preview also introduces Lake Maggiore, where part of the new season takes place.

Season 2 begins one year after Eddie and Susie joined forces inside Bobby Glass’s overseas criminal empire. The pair now run the operation together, but Bobby’s increasingly unsound decisions threaten the business. Eddie and Susie must decide whether to intervene or risk losing everything they have built.

The trailer shows their enterprise reaching Italy, where they establish a foothold near Lake Maggiore. Executive producer and co-writer Matthew Read describes Eddie as “extremely aspirational” and says he wants greater power. That ambition draws him deeper into criminal dealings and tests the alliances around him.

Their Italian operation brings Eddie and Susie into contact with Marco Moretti, an influential crime boss. Sergio Castellitto takes the role, and Read describes the character as “extremely ruthless and elegant.” Michele Morrone joins the cast as Cico Maldini, a volatile fixer who helps the pair handle their business in Italy. Read warns that Cico gives them little reason for trust.

Eddie also raises his profile within the legitimate establishment. His growing appetite for status places further pressure on his partnership with Susie and forces him to consider how much he could sacrifice in pursuit of influence. The season follows the pair through dangerous negotiations, betrayals and fights over money and power.

Read says Eddie and Susie share a strong connection, though their motivations often pull them in different directions. The writers test that bond with a series of obstacles while keeping their affection visible throughout the season.

Daniel Ings, Jasmine Blackborow, Michael Vu, Harry Goodwins, Ruby Sear, Pearce Quigley and Giancarlo Esposito return for the new episodes. Hugh Bonneville, Benjamin Clementine, Benedetta Porcaroli, Amra Mallassi and Tyler Conti join the cast. British professional boxer Chris Eubank Jr. and broadcaster and entrepreneur Maya Jama also appear in Season 2.

Guy Ritchie created the series and wrote the season with Matthew Read. Ritchie and Eran Creevy direct the eight episodes. Ritchie also serves as an executive producer alongside Will Gould, Read, Frith Tiplady, Simon Crawford Collins and Ivan Atkinson. Laura Jackson and Max Keene serve as producers. Moonage Pictures, part of ITV Studios, and Miramax Television produce the series for Netflix.

The Gentlemen first arrived in March 2024 and quickly gained a large international audience. Season 1 reached Netflix’s global Top 10 in over 90 countries and claimed the number one place in 75. Netflix reports that the series generated 100 million views globally between 2024 and 2025.
