Alaïa introduces Teyana Taylor as the face of its Summer Fall 2026 campaign, bringing the multidisciplinary artist’s physicality and stage presence into direct conversation with the collection. Her background in dance and performance shapes the images, where movement becomes central to the way the clothes interact with the body.

The campaign continues Alaïa’s long relationship with performers whose physical presence defines their work. The house previously collaborated with figures including Grace Jones and Tina Turner, and Taylor brings a contemporary perspective to that connection. Her confidence, athleticism and expressive movement align closely with Alaïa’s focus on the female silhouette.

Photographed by David Sims, the campaign uses black-and-white imagery to place attention on shape, volume and movement. Taylor’s movements give the series much of its energy. She stretches, bends and shifts through the frame while the garments trace the lines of her body. Her athletic presence adds tension to the clothes and allows their construction to register through motion.
Yadim Carranza handles makeup, while Rio Sreedharan creates the hair. Their work supports the direct visual language of the photographs and places further emphasis on Taylor’s features and physical presence.
A campaign film extends the same ideas through moving portraits. The video presents the body as an expressive language and uses Taylor’s performance experience to bring additional rhythm to the collection.
Taylor describes her participation as particularly personal because of her long-standing interest in Alaïa. She says she connected immediately with the collection’s combination of femininity and strength. She also points to fashion’s ability to communicate confidence without requiring explanation, an idea that guided her response to the clothing and Sims’ photographs.
