Miley has announced her tenth studio album, Bass Persuades, set for release on September 18 through Atlantic Records. The album introduces the next phase of the Grammy-winning artist’s career. The new era follows a special edition of Wonderland, guest-edited by Miley. Mario Sorrenti photographed the issue, while Alastair McKimm served as chief creative director. McKimm also worked closely with Miley on Bass Persuades, connecting the magazine project with the visual and creative direction surrounding the album. Mert Alas created the album’s visual identity exclusively.
The record arrives as Miley continues to honor her godmother, Dolly Parton, whose influence on her personal life and career extends beyond music. Their relationship has developed across personal and creative projects over the years. One of their most visible collaborations came through Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party, produced by Lorne Michaels, which Miley and Parton co-hosted.
Bass Persuades becomes Miley’s tenth studio release after a career defined by frequent changes in musical direction. Her work has moved through pop, rock, country, soul and alternative music, allowing her to approach each project through a different sound and creative identity.
Miley Cyrus’s acclaimed career features three Golden Globe nominations, numerous certified hits, and a multi-genre Grammy record, winning Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘Flowers’ in 2024, followed by Best Country Duo/Group Performance alongside Beyoncé in 2025.
Outside music, Miley has worked with international fashion and beauty brands including Maybelline, Maison Margiela, Gucci and Dolce&Gabbana. These collaborations have developed alongside her recording career and public work across fashion, beauty and entertainment.

She also founded the Happy Hippie Foundation, which supports LGBTQ+ youth, and the Miley Cyrus Foundation, an organization focused on supporting women in all their diversity.
With Bass Persuades, Miley enters her next album cycle with a new visual direction, an upcoming return to live performance and another chapter in a career that continues to move between music, fashion and wider cultural projects. The album will arrive on September 18, followed less than a month later by the two Hollywood Bowl dates in Los Angeles.
