NikeSKIMS is adding the Waffle Racer to its footwear lineup, with three two-tone colorways arriving November 10 ahead of the Retro Sport collection on November 17. The shoe draws from Nike’s 1970s running archive, retaining the Waffle Racer’s low racing profile and waffle traction pattern. NikeSKIMS introduces its own colors and details across the tongue, heel and sockliner, then carries the footwear palette into the accompanying clothing.

The Waffle Racer joins the NikeSKIMS Rift as the brand continues to build footwear into its wardrobe. Its slim shape brings a running reference to a range that already includes apparel for the gym and studio. The new release develops that wardrobe through sneakers, fitted essentials, loose layers and outerwear, with coordinated colors connecting the different categories.

Kim Kardashian, SKIMS Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer, described the Waffle Racer as a shoe she has repeatedly returned to in her own wardrobe. “Being able to reinterpret a silhouette with so much history was incredibly special,” she said. Her approach centered on keeping the original’s recognizable qualities while introducing NikeSKIMS details. The waffle sole and low profile retain the connection to the archive, while the branding and color combinations identify the collaboration.
That approach continues through Retro Sport, which draws on vintage athletic shapes, graphics and detailing. The collection pairs pieces that follow the body with styles that sit away from it, creating different proportions for layering. The three sneaker colorways appear throughout the clothing, giving wearers a shared palette to work with when putting the pieces together.

New Vintage Sport Fleece introduces a soft, heavyweight French terry fabric to the assortment. Relaxed silhouettes and vintage-inspired graphics establish its athletic references, while the heavier texture suits the collection’s focus on dressing for cooler weather. These pieces supply the looser layers within a range that also includes body-contouring essentials.
The Matte assortment expands with lace-up designs and contrast-trim styles. Those additions bring new detailing to an existing part of the NikeSKIMS range, alongside the fleece and outerwear. The collection uses these different fits and surfaces to develop a wardrobe around the sneakers, with fitted separates providing a foundation for the roomier pieces.

Insulated outerwear adds another layer to the release. A hooded puffer jacket, puffer wrap and half-zip coaches jacket extend the offering for the colder months. The three formats introduce different ways to layer over the collection’s essentials, from a hooded jacket to a wrap and a pullover shape.
The launch follows NikeSKIMS’ expansion into China as the brand continues its international growth. For this release, the rollout begins with footwear before the full apparel collection arrives a week later.
