Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld teams up in a project headlined by noted Miami based architecture offices Oppenheim and Kor Hotel Group to designd Isla Moda. A manmade island 20km off the coast of Dubai which will host 150 lavish residential unites and 3 luxury hotels.

In July 2008, Mr. Lagerfeld had agreed to participate in Isla Moda project but further to the financial crisis, the owners of the islands were not in a position to fulfil their obligations under the agreement and were forced to postpone the project sine die. Consequently, Mr. Lagerfeld has put an end to his collaboration with Isla Moda?s owners. – from Karl Lagerfeld's Communication Director
