Miuccia Prada presented the Miu Miu fall winter 2015 collection during the ongoing Paris Fashion Week. The women’s collection was showcased on the runway specially designed by Prada and Miu Miu long time showspace design collaborato AMO/OMA.
As a counterpart to the rigor of Perret’s architecture, for the FW 2015 catwalk show, AMO has designed a soft and kinetic mass invading the Palais d’Iena. The Salle Hypostyle is distorted by a fluid structure, informally occupying the space and denying its existing proportions. The columns and stairs become accidents within this wrapped form, representing the only visible remains of the original space. A continuous invasive shape, the installation guides the guests from the entrance of the Palais d’Iena seamlessly into the show space. Miumiu wallpaper and white carpet were used to soften the authority of the volume and give a domestic effect. – from AMO
