Les Hommes duo Tom Notte and Bart Vandebosch presented their Spring Summer 2017 menswear collection during the ongoing Milano Fashion Week. The collection is a journey to South America at the time of the Conquistadors, featuring oversize and loose fitting, enlarged sizes created by a clever layering in high-tech fabrics and military color palette.
SPRING SUMMER 2017 MENSWEAR COLLECTIONS
Military wear is present throughout the collection, reliving through an urban and functional reinterpretation. Jackets and bags, with shoulder strap or sling bags imitate bulletproof protection. Bomber jackets and sweatshirts display metallic embroideries that combine the strictness of the decorations of the Conquistadors with nature-inspired body paint of Central America populations. Suspenders and laces are directly applied on jackets as embellishments. Trousers shortened and enriched by large pockets and biker trousers are adapted to suit subtropical forests, are juxtaposed to real cargo pants. – from Les Hommes
