Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos, the creative spirit behind the label Dimitri, presented his Spring Summer 2017 collection on the 30th of June 2016, the third show day of Mercedes- Benz Fashion Week Berlin. Seductive, sensual, smooth. This collection stayed true to the labels’ significant style, i.e. elaborate cuts and subtle sensuality could be noticed anew. All pieces of this collection appeared in a highly sophisticated way. The greek- italian designer took his inspiration from his native country Greece and you clearly recognize these influences: accessory- wise, some male models are wearing rosaries as necklaces paired with sandals. Albeit also the use of floating, endlessly flattering dresses which are often draped in the most subtle way, remind us of Greece. His casual caftans, delicate blouses and trousers can be seen as a celebration of femininity. Those pieces swirl around the feminine silhouette and are the perfect addition for long summer nights. Those creations appear refreshing yet relaxed, with just the right amount of each. They do not scream for attention, but rather convince us with their very unique detail- awareness. This collection is made for the cosmopolitan, strong amazon that has both feet on the ground and knows what she wants in life.
The main colour of this collection is white. The outfits are often kept tonal, sometimes two tones are paired in one look. Therefore all the collections’ looks stay utterly clear and contemporary. Worth of mentioning is also the fact pastel hues plus shades of gold are added. One of our favourite combinations is white with gold, as that gave the looks their uber- precious approach.

His menswear looks are kept very wearable, chic and refreshing. Chemises are worn slightly open and paired with shorts, rosaries and casual sandals give the outfits their unique flair. These outfits are the perfect addition for the modern gentlemans’ travelling wardrobe. Simply smooth!
Additionally to his Ready- to- Wear line, DIMITRI also presented a beachwear line, kept in the same colour palette. Furthermore the pieces were embellished with gemstones, sequins and charming cut- outs. Completely compelling!
Accessory- wise, over- sized creole- earrings, playful necklaces and bangles were worn. Simply seductive!
The hair of the models was worn back- combed and with middle parting, the make- up was kept natural, with emphasised eye- brows.
We cannot wait injecting those pieces into our travelling wardrobe 2017 and will definitely keep an eye on DIMITRI and all upcoming collections!
