While Instagram culture has taken over the fashion industry PRADA who is few followers shy away from hitting the 10 million follower mark has teamed up with the famed Fashion Photographer Willy Vanderperre for an eye-catching project.
The celebrated photographer gave a special first glimpse of the Spring Summer 2017 women’s collection in the PRADA TIMELAPSE collaboration featured in its entirety @PRADA instagram and PRADA.com. Models posing for the collab are Fei Fei Sun, Natalie Westling, Saskia de Brauw, Elibeidy Danis Martinez, Rianne van Rompaey, Cato Van Ee, Nora Attal, Mica Arganaraz, Julia Nobis, Ratner and Sara Grace Wallerstedt.
“Timelapse”, Prada and Willy Vanderperre’s creative collaboration for SS17, isolates the collection’s intentions to elevate and explore the complexity of modernity. In echoing, fluorescent-lit hallways, elevator doors soundlessly open to the platform where low meets high—as elements designed for function meet those exuding only elegance. What separates the past from the present? Perhaps it is a reimagining of femininity. In “Timelapse”, the present is seen through a surveillance-like lens that points to Prada’s tech-loving start, while keeping a close watch on the future state of fashion. – from PRADA
