Aphid presents the spring summer 2018 collection and the brands signature dark color palette still remains with few bold pieces, punctuating the collection. The brands ongoing exploration of structure and innovative construction and cut reoccurs in the collection. The garments are tailored with asymmetric wraps in light fabrics.
“The APHID references extend from Harley Weirs “Home” photo collection to the sculpture of Robert Morris, the processes exhibited in Brancusi’s studio and the textures of Franco Mazzucchelli’s interior installations. This season the brand examines the theme of deconstruction and reformation finding newness in what has come before; taking apart, reshaping.”
