Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele chose the Capitoline Museums in Rome to unveil the new Gucci Cruise 2020 collection.
The collection is an ode to freedom, equality and self-expression, with garments featuring the slogans inspired by gender equality.
The guests were asked to visit a centuries-old book store in Rome, where they could exchange their card for a package containing an antique book in Greek or Latin which was the invitation to the show. The book features a quote by historian and archeologist Paul Veyne – Only pagan antiquity awakened my desire, because it was the world of before, because it was an abolished world.
