“We are women. We are mothers. We are children. We are responsible. Vote for Alice“- Anja Gockel
For her Spring Summer 2020 line, German designer Anja Gockel is creatively blurring the lines between real and surreal visions. For new season, she took her inspiration from the mental movement of the surrealism. She is, furthermore, observing the world through the joyful, imaginatively and expectant eyes of children. The surreal approach of this collection clearly shines through in her creations: unusual pattern-, cut-, and colour combinations appear repeatedly. However, they always stay urban- chic and wearable. The colour choices appear often summer- fresh and blithe. Metallic nuances give the outfits a mysterious, glamorous yet sophisticated touch. They can be worn at any age and for the most diverse occasions. You may even mix and match these pieces vividly among each other.
This collection is made for contemporary “Alices in Wonderland“, that never lost their thirst for knowledge, fantasy and courage to live the life of their imaginations. Independent, strong, free. To underline this message, also her model choice is a diverse one: for instance German actress Christine Urspruch is walking on the runway with a lot of power, embodying a very unique, strong beauty.
We left the show with lots of new impressions and inspirations and we will keep the childful soul inside of us and keep dreaming…
