Designers Shaikha Noor Rashid Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Mohammed Al Khalifa presented Noon By Noor‘s Spring Summer 2020 collection inspired by the Bahraini Pearl and its surroundings, on September 10th, during the ongoing New York Fashion Week.

“The pearl is interpreted as a symbolic motif in the polka dot print and woven dotted stripes. Literal forms of the pearl appear in fastenings, trims and embroidery as well as the script “Pearl of my Life” stitched on the brand’s signature t-shirts and sweatshirts. Easy gathered volumes and sheer panels are evocative of the shells’ fragility, while high waisted trousers, crisp shirting and exaggerated paper bag waists allude to their architectural structures.
Describing the collection, Shaikha Noor Al Khalifa said, “The details speak volumes as they literally and figuratively tie back to the source of our inspiration this season: Bahraini pearls and seashells.” Shaikha Haya Al Khalifa added, “Lightweight fabrics and fluid silhouettes are balanced with bold lively colors that emit confidence.”
Understated, luxurious pieces continue to be an inherent part of the brand. A billowing summer dress in delicate pink jacquard can be worn effortlessly day to night. A black drape v-neck dress with touches of tonal embroidery catches the light, like the sun on water. Structured cotton is tailored into utilitarian shapes while easy to wear separates in cotton and silk mixed stripe shirting extend into shorts, shirts and dresses.“
