Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI) has announced the publication of Influencer Guidelines. Produced by the Digital Work Group set up by CNMI in 2018, with assistance from attorneys Ida Palombella and Federica Caretta of Deloitte Legal (Studio Associato), the document summarizes the best practices currently adopted by brands.
The Guidelines consist of three parts:
- Four good practices for brands to adopt): 1. Drafting of a policy; 2. Stipulation of a contract with the influencer; 3. Ensuring compliance with the policy; 4. Conduct to adopt in the event of gifts to influencers;
- A list of six proposals to submit to the international and national authorities regarding: gifts and loans; precise definition of the sphere of use of hashtags #ad, #adv and #sponsored; rules disciplining participation in events;
- Proposals for social platforms.
