Fashion house DKNY introduces supermodel and actress Kaia Gerber as the fresh face of its Spring 2024 campaign, capturing the essence of iconic American style with a distinct New York flair. This season, DKNY revitalizes its essence with a sharp focus on redefining traditional design elements for contemporary audiences, presenting a vision of renewal across its sophisticated collection, innovative designs, reimagined logo, and the dynamic presence of Gerber.

Jeffrey Goldfarb, EVP at G-III Apparel Group, highlights the campaign’s intent to infuse DKNY with a novel energy, respecting and building upon the brand’s original ethos. The Spring brings reimagined classic designs – denim, blazers, trenches, and leather jackets – each piece receiving a contemporary makeover that resonates with Gen Z’s aesthetic preferences. This reinvention extends to the DKNY logo, which has been re-envisioned to mark the brand’s global reintroduction of all-American street style.

The campaign, brought to life through the lens of acclaimed photographer Alasdair McLellan and the styling expertise of Alastair McKimm, unfolds within the confines of a stark, graphic New York studio, offering canvas for DKNY’s revitalized visual narrative. McLellan’s photography, celebrated for its ability to capture authentic aspiration, complements Kaia Gerber’s natural sophistication, embodying the quintessential all-American style with a renewed vitality.

Trey Laird, Founder and Chief Creative Officer at Team Laird, remarks on Gerber’s representation of classic DKNY’s spirit, now charged with an unprecedented vibrancy and appeal. The campaign encapsulates the essence of New York City – its textures, sights, and sounds – through a sophisticated yet raw lens. In a nod to DKNY’s iconic billboard history, a captivating campaign video depicts Kaia Gerber stepping off a billboard and into the city’s bustling streets, symbolizing a daring leap towards the future.
