The Nanushka Fall Winter 2024 collection, titled “Reframing,” focuses on the transformative potential of fabric manipulation to enhance the beauty of simple silhouettes. This collection, presented at Paris Fashion Week, draws from Nanushka’s Hungarian roots, particularly traditional agricultural attire, and is marked by the use of faux sheep hide in both menswear and womenswear, highlight of which is the A-line bonded shearling jacket that pays homage to a shepherd’s coat.
Felted wool emerges as a luxurious material choice, crafted into a floor-length coat with peaked lapel details. The Ado jacket is reinterpreted into a deconstructed biker jumpsuit, while in menswear, faux Racka sheepskin is transformed into dramatic floor-length coats and used to accentuate the collars of rounded bomber jackets.
The Nanushka Fall Winter 2024 collection also nods to the influence of 90s minimalism through the use of boxy tweed boucle suits with regenerated leather details and snap fastenings, and a tailored romper made from sculpted glass poplin.
Details such as studs, quilted Kopjafa symbols, crochet, contrast binding, and innovative texture play are central to the collection. The use of compact boucle, super fleece, and faux fur further explores Hungarian heritage, while brushed alpaca yarn introduces a modern twist with a graffiti smudge pattern.
