
The first creative collaboration between Camper and SUNNEI presents the FORONE, a one-shoe concept that reinvents the way we think about footwear. Sold as a single shoe that is 100% symmetrical, with no left or right, the FORONE can be worn on either foot. Available in five colorways, the wearer can mix and match to create customized pairs, embracing a new era of personal expression in footwear. This innovative approach underscores the disruptive and out-of-the-box thinking synonymous with both Camper and SUNNEI.

Disruptive, provocative, and interactive—these are the attributes that define both Camper and SUNNEI. The foundation of this collaboration is set to unfold in three stages, marking a long-term project. The partnership aims to challenge conventional norms in the fashion industry, offering a fresh perspective on how we interact with everyday objects like shoes. This venture reflects both brands’ commitment to pushing boundaries and fostering creativity.

The FORONE is a laced design that comes in five distinct colorways: red, beige, green, blue, and mustard. Wearers can customize their pair(s) to match their mood or the day of the week, with up to ten possible color combinations. Whether buying one or five, there’s no right, left, or wrong when it comes to FORONE. This product emphasizes creativity and collaboration, aligning with Camper and SUNNEI’s ethos of encouraging individual expression and uniqueness.

“Due piedi in una scarpa” (Two feet in one shoe) is an Italian saying that served as the starting point for envisioning the FORONE campaign. The images, shot by the promising talent Tarek Cassim, embody this expression while reinforcing the one-shoe concept. The campaign captures the ironic and playful spirit of Camper and SUNNEI.
In February 2024, at the SUNNEI FW24 show, models teased the upcoming collaboration with shoes concealed under colorful dust bags featuring the text “SUNNEI CAMPER, JUNE 2024.” This teaser generated excitement and curiosity, setting the stage for the official launch. From June 18th, FORONE will become available through both SUNNEI and Camper’s online and offline channels, including select Camper flagship stores. These stores will feature special installations to enhance the customer experience, culminating in a celebration event in Milan during Men’s Fashion Week in June 2024.

The journey of the FORONE began at Camper’s headquarters in Mallorca, Spain, where SUNNEI’s creative team explored Camper’s archives. They drew inspiration from TRINS, a concept from Camper’s Spring/Summer 1996 collection, which featured three different colored shoes that fit both the left and right foot. The TRINS could be mixed and matched to create six color combinations. Twenty-seven years later, this concept has evolved into FORONE, a revamped Camper x SUNNEI concept with new design elements. Designed for maximum durability, the FORONE features a vulcanized rubber outsole that is securely 360° stitched to a breathable 100% recycled cotton upper, with a memory foam footbed that offers superior comfort and adapts to the anatomy of either foot.
