LGN‘s Pre-Spring 2025 collection explores the rawness of human instincts, presenting a thought-provoking exploration of desire, violence, sensuality, and touch. The collection’s inspiration, starting from the olfactory sense, unfolds into a fantasy where bodies and skin are central yet intriguingly elusive. This approach challenges the traditional archetype wardrobe, offering sensuous materials like waxed leather, greasy denim, and black jacquard linen that invite touch and proximity. The man envisioned in this collection is a paradox—both a creator of beauty and a figure of cold detachment, with violence subtly embedded in the designs. The signature slit, now a decisive vertical cut, evokes a Fontana gesture, blending eroticism with an edge of intimidation. The collection’s palette of bone white, black, and oxblood underscores this primal focus, depicting the human struggle between raw instincts and civilized aesthetics.

In collaboration with PUMA, LGN Louis Gabriel Nouchi reinterprets the iconic Mostro shoe into a radical mule design. This transformation distills the essence of the Mostro into a single material, creating a product that functions as both a design object and a comfortable sneaker. This collaboration stands out for its minimalist yet impactful design, pushing the boundaries of contemporary footwear and highlighting LGN’s ability to blend innovation with tradition.

The SS25 collection also features a notable collaboration with ECCO.Kollektive, bringing forth an array of footwear, bags, and ready-to-wear pieces. The use of leather, treated with a saturated wax technique, transforms it into an extension of the skin, enhancing the collection’s sensuality. This treatment allows the ready-to-wear pieces to stretch over a transparent jersey base, adding a dynamic element to the collection. The bags, shaped like LGN’s iconic underwear designs, and the shoes, with their radical and brutalist construction applied to classic forms, demonstrate a masterful interplay of sensuality and functionality.

A highlight of this season is LGN’s first collaboration with visual artist Sasha Ferré, facilitated by Almine Rech. This partnership has resulted in an exclusive Jacquard fabric inspired by Ferré’s extraordinary paintings and unique gestures. Combined with LGN’s signature tailoring, this fabric is used to create a limited edition of highly sensual pieces. This collaboration bridges the gap between fashion and art, offering a unique experience for both fashion enthusiasts and art lovers.

LGN’s exploration of human instincts, combined with innovative design and material use, sets this collection apart. The focus on beauty as a savior or last hope resonates deeply, reflecting the brand’s nuanced understanding of human emotions and aesthetics. LGN’s Pre-Spring 2025 collection is a bold and introspective journey through the complexities of human carnality.
