PUMA is back on track with an exciting revival of the OG Speedcat for 2024. For this release, the Speedcat returns with luxurious suede finishes in timeless black and vibrant red, paying tribute to legendary F1 racing teams. These colorways, reminiscent of early 2000s racewear, feature an embroidered cat detail on the toe and gold logo accents on the tongue and above the Formstrip, merging past glory with present-day style.

Debuting in 1999, the PUMA Speedcat’s lifestyle edition draws inspiration from the fireproof racing boots worn by Grand Prix drivers of the ’80s and ’90s. Its sleek, aerodynamic design quickly made it a standout off the racetrack, capturing the hearts of fashionistas from London to Berlin and Seoul. The Speedcat’s low-profile design cemented its place in sneaker culture, leading to variations like the PUMA Drift Cat and Race Cat. Even today, the original Speedcat holds the title of PUMA’s best-selling shoe, a testament to its lasting appeal.
Joining forces with NAKED Copenhagen, PUMA introduces the 2024 Speedcat with a campaign that highlights female empowerment. Known for its global influence, NAKED Copenhagen and PUMA celebrate the Speedcat through a campaign led by women, recognizing the pioneering spirit required to break barriers both on the track and beyond.
The campaign features Sierra Rena, a stylist and creator who exemplifies fearless self-expression and a trailblazing attitude. By showcasing the Speedcat, the campaign honors its legacy while presenting it as a beacon of empowerment and innovation, encouraging future generations to pursue their dreams with courage and conviction.

The PUMA Speedcat will be available for an exclusive pre-launch event at NAKED Copenhagen’s Paris store in Le Marais on June 19th. Following this, it will be accessible online at nakedcph.com and in Naked Copenhagen stores in Copenhagen and Aarhus. Starting June 29th, the Speedcat will be available on PUMA.com and at select global retailers such as Kith, Atmos, END, SNS, and other exclusive outlets.
Enthusiasts can also look forward to additional colorways set to be released later this year, ensuring the continued evolution of this iconic silhouette. Whether you’re revisiting an old favorite or discovering the Speedcat for the first time, this re-release celebrates PUMA’s racing heritage and its future in sneaker fashion.
